Cost of Conventional Oil Change at Valvoline
The cost of a conventional oil change at Valvoline is $52.99. This will include a new oil filter and oil up to 5 quarts. Apart from this, you get other inspection and maintenance services free. Regular oil, conventional oil, or traditional oil, all are the same and used interchangeably.
The important thing that you need to note and I have experienced is that the price of a conventional oil change at Valvoline may vary in different cities.
If I tell you my experience when I was in NY, I paid almost $15 more as compared to where I live, in Houston, Texas. This may be because the places are far and it may increase the cost due to transportation costs and different labor costs.
How Long Does Valvoline Conventional Oil Last
Although, how long Valvoline’s conventional oil change will last may depend on a few factors, being a professional mechanic, my advice would be to change it every 3,000 miles.
According to Valvoline, “To take the very best care of your vehicle, Valvoline recommends that you change the oil and replace the oil filter every 3,000 miles.“
The 3,000 miles oil change calculation works well if you drive a lot, but if you do not drive your vehicle much, then? Should you wait till 3,000 miles get completed?
No, if you do not drive much, you should change your Valvoline conventional oil every three months, which means, Valvoline conventional oil changes last for 3,000 miles, or you should get it changed every 3 months, whichever is earlier.
How Long a Conventional Oil Change Takes at Valvoline
They say it usually takes 15 minutes for a conventional oil change at Valvoline and in my experience it may vary a bit as there may be some other things that need to be done and it also depends on the type of vehicle you have.
In addition to the oil change, they perform other inspections and maintenance checks which require an additional 15-20 minutes, again depending on the vehicle and how accessible the parts are.
So, if you are thinking a conventional oil change at Valvoline will get completed in 15 minutes, that’s a no. For the full-service oil change, it will take almost 30 minutes.
Is Valvoline Conventional Oil Good
If I talk about my experience with Valvoline it is always good as their customer service is strong, I know some of you may not like the price of conventional oil at Valvoline, but I think it is worth it.
I asked many users who get Valvoline conventional oil changes for their vehicles, and most of them are satisfied with the quality and service. Although, this is the lowest quality grade oil of Valvoline, still the oil is better than many of its competitors.
Most of the vehicles drive well with regular oil and a Valvoline conventional oil change “remove old, dirty motor oil and replace it with clean, fresh motor oil — which helps ensure proper engine function, and helps extend the life of your engine”.
Is Valvoline Conventional Oil a Synthetic Blend?
No, a Valvoline conventional oil is different from a synthetic oil blend. The conventional oil at Valvoline is the lowest quality oil and the synthetic blend is superior but still inferior to a full synthetic oil.
The cost also varies, the conventional oil is cheaper as compared to the synthetic blend.
Does Valvoline Conventional Oil Have Zinc?
A small amount of zinc is present in the Valvoline conventional oil.
