When you visit the Les Schwab, you get two packages for an oil change as this is what I got when I first visited their service center.
So, they have this Standard oil change and Full service oil change. It is just the services that are included, the standard one has fewer services and the latter one has more like battery check, wiper, shock and strut inspection, etc. and the prices vary accordingly.

It totally depends on the oil you choose and the condition of your vehicle. Being a professional mechanic, I would say, that if you choose a synthetic blend, then you need to change it after 5000 miles, and if you choose a a full synthetic oil change, you can change it after every 7000-10000 miles, depending on the condition of your car’s engine.
Now, if I tell you what the company has to say on this, according to Les Schwab, “Changing your vehicle’s oil every six months or 5,000 to 7,500 miles helps keep the grit and dirt out of your engine. Plus, that fresh oil provides the lubrication your vehicle needs to prevent friction and overheating.”
This is true that if you keep on changing the oil at regular intervals, the fresh oil lubricates better and keeps the dirt out of your car’s engine which will increase its life.
How to Schedule an Oil Change at Les Schwab
It’s not that difficult to schedule an appointment at Les Schwab for an oil change and it is even not necessary to schedule an appointment, you can directly visit the nearest Les Schwab auto center but I will still suggest booking a slot to avoid any rush.
So, this is how you can schedule an appointment at Les Schwab for an oil change:
- just go to their website, and select the “book an appointment” button flashing on the screen
- now you’ll be prompted to to another window to select the service you want, select oil change service
- select the store from the “change store” option on the same window, and click on the next
- now select the date and time to schedule your appointment and then enter your email ID to log in, if not already,
- select the model of your vehicle
- pay the amount if you want, and done, your appointment is scheduled
If you are going during the weekdays then you won’t find the rush, it is on the weekend when most of the vehicle owners come for the services and it’s better to schedule an appointment.
How Long Does it Take for an Oil Change at Les Schwab
When I was there for an oil change it took almost 45 minutes, however, the company says, it is usually faster and takes around 20-30 minutes.
I don’t think so, I have been there 4-5 times and it always took more than 35 minutes for my car’s oil change. Maybe it depends on different types of vehicles but usually, oil changing takes time as this does not just include an oil change but other services as well.
And that’s the reason, they have a hang-out or waiting area where you can get snacks and enjoy free wifi.

Let me tell you, it depends on the location, some may open early while others may open a bit late, you need to check the one nearest you.
