To answer the question of how much is an oil change at Firestone, let me tell you first that the prices vary on the type of oil you choose, the number of quarts your vehicle requires, and the location of the auto store.
An oil change at Firestone may cost you between $29.99 and $49.99. But let me tell you the price is sometimes location-based and the cost may go as high as $100, I have seen it personally.
They have three types of oil you can choose from:
- Conventional Oil Change
- Synthetic Oil Change
- High Mileage Oil Change
How Much is a Standard Oil Change at Firestone
As you may know, the conventional or standard oil change is the basic oil that can be used in almost all the vehicles and it is the cheapest one.
The standard oil change cost at Firestone is $29.99 which also includes 5 quarts of oil and a new oil filter. As I said the prices may vary depending on the location and type of vehicle or engine your vehicle has.
If you have an old car or the engine is not in good condition, the number of quarts may increase which will eventually increase the price of the oil change at Firestone.
When I asked about the price of a conventional oil change at Firestone, they said it was $29.99 which is till this February as there is an offer and the prices may increase after that.
I think the price is still decent as compared to other big oil change auto shops like Take5 or Valvoline.
How Much is a Synthetic Oil Change at Firestone
If I talk about the synthetic oil change at Firestone, the price is $49.99 with 5 quarts of oil and a new oil filter. Apart from this, there are other maintenance and inspection checks included in the price.
When I went for an oil change at Firestone, I opted for this one, I felt the service was decent enough, at least they are not charging $100 or more for just an oil change. And they didn’t even try to upsell me which was good.
I have been to Walmart, and I find Walmart has the cheapest oil change service, but I think Firestone is in competition now.
Let me tell you, before going for a synthetic oil change, check if your car even requires it or not. I rarely do synthetic oil changes as then I need to change the oil after 7,000-10,000 miles which is convenient for me.
How Much is a High Mileage or Synthetic Blend Oil Change at Firestone
For a High mileage oil change at Firestone, it would cost you $39.99 which will include 5 quarts of oil and a new oil filter.
The high mileage oil is better than conventional oil and a bit inferior to synthetic oil and again not all vehicles need this oil. However, like I do, you can sometimes opt for this oil to increase the overall health of your vehicle’s engine.
A high mileage or a synthetic blend oil is the same, but sometimes auto shops do sell it separately. You don’t need to change the oil till 6,000-7,000 miles.
Is There Any Firestone Oil Change Coupon
There are many coupons and discounts at Firestone for oil changes. Even I availed of one recently where I got $15 off for a full synthetic oil change.
There are currently four coupons or discount offers for different oil changes. The one is on conventional oil where you just have to pay $29.99.
Then there is a coupon on a Pennzoil full synthetic oil change where you can get $15 off. Another is on Pennzoil high mileage oil change, in which you get $10 off, lastly, there is a coupon of $10 off on Rotella Diesel oil change.

What Oil Does Firestone Use
It is important to know what oil Firestone uses before going there as the quality of oil affects the health of a vehicle engine. I asked Firestone about its oil and if it is used in all their stores, I found there are 5 oils available at Firestone:
- Quaker State Conventional Oil
- Pennzoil High Mileage Synthetic Motor Oil
- Pennzoil Gold Synthetic Blend
- Pennzoil Platinum Euro Full Synthetic Motor Oil
- Rotella Diesel Oil
I can say the oil they use in vehicles is of good quality.
How Long Does Firestone Oil Change Take
If I talk about myself, it took almost 40 minutes for an oil change at Firestone. Let me tell you there is no 10 minute oil change service available.
Usually, it will take 30 minutes for an oil change at Firestone. But it may take some more time if you opt for other services, or if there is a rush, or if the engine or parts of the car are not easily accessible.
But I think in most of the cases it will take 30-40 minutes which is still decent. If you do not have much time, I would suggest you come on Tuesdays and Wednesdays when the rush is very low, that would be the best time.
What Does a Firestone Oil Change Include
Like many other oil change services, Firestone also offers maintenance services along with oil change service and you do not need to pay extra for that.
The Firestone oil change services include:
- Oil change
- New Oil Filter
- Inspection of cabin filter and air filter
- Inspection of Vehicle lights
- Inspection of Belts, Hoses, Steering, Suspensions, Skid Plates, and Undercarriage
- Inspection of Windshield wipers
- Inspection of car battery

- Visual inspection of vehicle damage
These are the services that you get along with an oil change at Firestone, which I think is pretty impressive given the price point.
Is there any coupon for an oil change at Firestone?
Currently, there is no coupon available for an oil change at Firestone. But they do distribute coupons to their customers from time to time.
Is Firestone oil change costly?
Firestone provides one of the cheapest oil change services after Walmart. Their conventional oil change price is just $29.99 which is very low if you compare it with other oil change service providers.
If you are on a tight budget, you can opt for their service. They also provide other inspection services along with oil changes for free.
Is a synthetic oil change at Firestone good?
Yes, the synthetic oil change at Firestone is good. Of course, you won’t get the best service at this price, but still, they do a good job. The mechanics are all professional and certified.
